Beas Kund, which is regarded as a holy lake is located in the Kullu Valley and is the original source of River Beas. It is believed that Rishi Vyas used to take his daily bath in the pristine water of this lake that is perched at an altitude of 3,650 meters in the lap of Mt. Hanuman Tibba and Seven Sisters. Snaking and passing through the Solang valley the trail to Beas Kund offers a rejuvenating experience and the journey is filled with several surprises at each turn. The Beas Kund Trek, which is considered as one of the easiest treks in the Himachal Himalayan region is also a short trek of three days from the popular hill station of Manali that is tucked at a height of 2,050 meters.

day 1.

 

Assemble at Delhi at 3.00 p.m. “COMESUM” restaurant

Outside old Delhi railway station. We take evening Volvo air-conditioned bus to Manali by 5.00 p.m.

 

day 2.

 

Reach Manali by 10 a.m. Book into a Hotel. Breakfast and lunch at hotel. Rest of the day free for sightseeing in Manali .Dinner and overnight at Hotel.

 

Day 3 : Manali to Solang to Dhundi (2840 m ) (trek - 02.30 hrs.)

 

After breakfast, drive to solang by private vehicle. The trek starts as the trail winds through the forest of Oak, Fir, Walnut and Grassy Knolls to the higher meadows of Dhundi. From here one can get the startling views of Dhauladhar Ranges of mountains (Hanuman Tibba, the highest summit of this range 5920 Mts.) stands in front of you. Lunch, dinner and overnight in tents.

 

Day 4 : Dhundi – Bakkar Thach (3,100 m) (trek - 05 - 06 hrs.)

 

After breakfast, there is a steep climb involved, but the trail which you climb is a pleasant one. Here you will be at the foot of Hanuman Tibba. While on Bakkar Thatch one can have the splendid views of The Dhauladhar and The Pir Panjal Ranges . Lunch, dinner and overnight in tents.

 

day 5 : Bakkar Thach – Beas Kund (3,600 m) (trek -05-06 hrs.)

 

After a hearty breakfast, trek through the tremendous mountains cape around you, you will finally reach the ‘Beas Kund’, a tiny lake from where the river Beas Originates. Beas Kund is the base camp of many summits around here. Lunch, dinner and overnight in tents..

 

Day 6 : Beas Kund – Dhundi (trek - 05 – 06 hrs.)

 

Today we trek back to Dhundi and follow the same route that we came from. Starting right from the Pir Panjal Range to ‘Hanuman Tibba’ and after a good trek we finally reach the higher meadows of Dhundi and later retire for the night in tented camps.

 

Day 7 : Dhundi – Solang (trek – 2.30 hrs) and to manali

 

We would head to the ‘Solang Valley’ after breakfast and reach Solang for lunch after lunch we leave for Manali (14 km)by hired vehicle and take Volvo air conditioned bus to Delhi in the evening.

 

day 8 : reach Delhi
